Laurie has been part of the IR Magazine team for more than a decade, starting out as a reporter and research editor before becoming editor in 2023. He was previously acting business editor at the i newspaper and deputy business editor at The Daily Telegraph. He lives in London with his husky, Mischa.

Garnet Roach  deputy editor

Garnet Roach joined IR Magazine in October 2012, working on both the editorial and research sides of the publication. Prior to entering the world of investor relations, her freelance career covered a broad range of subjects, from technology to politics and consumer finance, and even involved a stint as a reporter and editor in Sana’a, Yemen.

Since graduating from City University in London in 2003, where she studied journalism, Roach has worked as a freelance reporter at titles including GlobalPost.com, PC Advisor and The Big Issue.

Tim Human  senior reporter

Tim Human

Tim Human is senior reporter at IR Magazine. He rejoined the publication in 2019 after two years working as a freelance journalist for a range of international publications. Previously, Tim was editor of IR Magazine between 2013-2017. He has also written for Corporate Secretary, IR Magazine’s sister publication, and CorpComms, the UK-based magazine for corporate communications professionals.

Noemi Distefano  reporter

Noemi Distefano

Noemi Distefano joined IR Media Group as a reporter for IR Magazine and Corporate Secretary in October 2022. Before that, she worked for three years in B2B. She was a multimedia journalist, podcast host and producer at Shephard Media, covering the defense sector with a focus on military procurement and military technology on a global scale, in 2019-22.

Noemi then joined Newtrade Media in March 2022, working as a reporter and writing for the company's print weekly and fortnightly publications RN and Retail Express. 

She graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with an MA in Journalism in 2017 and interned as a trainee journalist in Scotland at STV News in Glasgow and Bauer Media's Radio Forth in Edinburgh. She also worked as a freelance journalist and video content producer both in Italy and the UK.
