Zeta Global has appointed Scott Schmitz as its new senior vice president of investor relations, effective October 4. In his new role, Schmitz reports to Chris Greiner, Zeta Global’s CFO.
Schmitz takes the helm of the investor relations function following Zeta Global’s IPO on June 10, 2021. He joins from Dell Technologies, where he spent six years working across a variety of roles including investor relations, sales, planning and strategy and, most recently, as a senior finance leader of the company’s Software-as-a-Service business.
During his time in investor relations, he was part of the team that worked on the $60 bn merger between Dell Technologies and EMC Corp.
Before joining Dell Technologies, Schmitz spent three years on the buy side with Wells Capital Management and more than eight years in sell-side equity research at Morgan Stanley. He started his career as a software engineer.
‘Scott’s deep understanding of finance, operations and capital markets from many different perspectives will be instrumental in driving a successful investor relations strategy and communicating Zeta’s strategic goals to our stakeholders,’ Greiner says in a statement.
Schmitz adds that he’s ‘extremely excited’ to join the Zeta Global team.
