Visa appoints new head of IR

Mike Milotich succeeds Jack Carsky, who retired in December

Visa has decided that Mike Milotich will serve as the company’s senior vice president of investor relations, following the retirement of Jack Carsky at the end of last year.

Milotich has been with Visa since 2011, serving in a variety of finance roles, including as vice president of corporate financial planning & analysis and senior director of business analysis & strategic partnership deals. He reports into Visa’s CFO Vasant Prabhu, as Carsky did.

Milotich started his career as a consultant with BTS and then Booz Allen Hamilton, before entering the world of corporate finance, first at American Express and then PayPal.

Prabhu says in a statement that he is pleased to have made an internal appointment to fill Carsky’s role: ‘Mike brings rich insights and experience in the payments industry and has a deep understanding of Visa’s business and financials. I can’t think of a better person to help our investors understand Visa.’

Carsky retired as senior vice president of investor relations in December 2017, having spent more than a decade in the role. During this time, he struck up a strong working relationship with Victoria Hyde-Dunn, who served as director of investor relations. At last year’s IR Magazine Awards – US, Carsky and Hyde-Dunn shared the best investor relations officer (large cap) award.

Hyde-Dunn left Visa in October 2017 to join 8x8 as senior director of investor relations. Her first six months on the job were recently profiled in the spring issue of IR Magazine.
