People moves: Nestlé picks Deliveroo’s David Hancock as new head of IR

Other moves this week at NVIDIA, Oncocyte Corporation and Crane Company

Nestlé, the Swiss food and drinks giant, has appointed David Hancock as its new head of IR, effective October 1.

Hancock will join from Deliveroo, where he is currently vice president of finance, strategy and investor relations. At Nestlé, he will succeed Luca Borlini who will remain at the firm to focus on retail shareholders.

Prior to Deliveroo, Hancock spent more than seven years at The Adecco Group in senior finance positions – including senior vice president of IR – and 11 years at Morgan Stanley, where he started in sales and trading before progressing to an equity research analyst role.

‘I am delighted to welcome David to Nestlé,’ says Anna Manz, the firm’s CFO, in a statement. ‘With his deep knowledge of capital markets and financial communications combined with broad strategic finance experience, David is ideally placed to lead our investor relations team in Nestlé’s next phase of value creation.’

In other IR moves, NVIDIA’s vice president of IR and strategic finance, Simona Jankowski, has announced she will leave the firm ‘for a start-up CFO opportunity’.

Sharing the news with her network on LinkedIn, Jankowski says details of her next move will be given in a future post and that her departure ‘was not an easy decision’. She has spent nearly seven years at the Santa Clara-headquartered Delaware firm, having previously held a managing director role at Goldman Sachs for more than 16 years.

Elsewhere, the Nasdaq-listed precision diagnostics company Oncocyte Corporation has announced the appointment of Andrea James as the firm’s CFO.

James’ prior tenures include roles at Axon, where she worked as chief communications officer and head of IR and, among others, an IR role at Tesla, where she worked on strategic investor communications, quarterly messaging and shareholder communications.

‘We are thrilled to welcome Andrea as we approach the inflection point of commercial launch,’ says Josh Riggs, Oncocyte CEO, in a statement. ‘She has a proven track record of guiding financial strategy through multiple phases of growth, raising and stewarding capital and building relationships with high-quality institutional investors. Andrea is therefore an ideal CFO business partner to me, the board of directors and the Oncocyte team.’

Finally, the Connecticut-headquartered industrial products firm Crane Company has appointed Allison Poliniak as vice president of IR.

Poliniak, who announced her new role in a LinkedIn post, joins Crane Company from the financial services firm Wells Fargo, where she has worked as a director and senior analyst for more than 18 years.
