Sonya Banerjee, formerly head of IR at the ride-sharing app Lyft, has taken on a new role at the Nasdaq-listed AI-lending platform Upstart.
Writing in an update on LinkedIn, Banerjee says that she will be taking on the position of head of IR at the firm.
‘The company has an important mission with a lot of runway and I'm looking forward to telling the Upstart story to the investment community,’ she writes. ‘Big thank you to the team for such a warm welcome.’
In Canada, NYSE and TSX-listed metals company Teck Resources is appointing Emma Chapman as its new head of IR.
She joins the company from her previous role as head of IR at Anglo American Platinum and will replace outgoing IR chief Fraser Phillips, who is set to retire in early 2025.

Elsewhere, German pharmaceuticals firm STADA is bringing in Ingo Schachel as its new head of investor relations in a move effective as of December 1.
Schachel has more than 20 years of experience in banking, equity research and investor relations and was most recently head of IR at RENK Group AG, a German-listed manufacturer of transmissions, engines and hybrid drive systems.
‘[Ingo] is an excellent addition to our management team,’ says STADA CEO Peter Goldschmidt. ‘His in-depth knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets will be invaluable in further strengthening effective and trusting relationships with the financial community to support our continued growth.’
In Sweden, the Stockholm-listed air treatment and climate control solutions company Munters has named Line Dovärnas as its new head of investor relations.
She previously served as the company’s director of IR, having joined Munters in September 2021, and succeeds outgoing head of IR Ann-Sofi Jönsson, who will take up a new position as head of IR and sustainability reporting at Electrolux Group.
