People moves: Key appointments across the US, Canada and Europe

Five companies aim at fortifying strategic engagement with new IR leaders

It has been a busy week for IR career appointments: here we have selected five announcements made this week by companies in the US, Canada and Europe.

Bermuda-headquartered reinsurance firm, Fidelis Insurance Holdings, has appointed Miranda Hunter as head of IR in a move to strengthen engagement with the investment community, the firm says. With more than 15 years of experience in reinsurance and finance, Hunter’s background includes roles at AXIS Capital Holdings, Aeolus Capital Management and Validus Holdings, plus earlier positions at PwC and KPMG. Reporting to CEO Dan Burrows, Hunter’s role involves crafting and communicating Fidelis Insurance Group’s strategy to investors.

This week has also seen NYSE-listed Myers Industries, a manufacturer of polymer products, name Meghan Beringer as its new senior director of IR. With two decades of leadership spanning the utility and banking sectors, Beringer’s appointment underlines the company’s commitment to transparent communication with the investment community. Reporting to CFO Grant Fitz, Beringer’s expertise from her tenure at FirstEnergy promises to bolster Myers’ engagement strategies.

‘Great track record’

Meanwhile, Atlanta-headquartered retail banking company NCR Atleos has welcomed Brendan Metrano as head of IR and treasury. Reporting to CFO Paul Campbell, Metrano’s dual responsibilities include shaping the investor relations strategy and overseeing treasury functions. His background spans leadership in investor relations at Upbound Group, Western Union and DHI, coupled with 13 years in equity research with top firms.

‘Brendan brings a great track record of investor relations and equity research to Atleos,’ says Campbell in a statement. ‘His insight into the institutional investor base, credibility in advising internal leaders and building relationships with the investment community is a great asset for us.’

Jason Shepherd has taken on a new role as vice president of IR at Canadian firm Brixton Metals Corporation. His appointment is ‘subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange,’ the firm says in an official statement. Shepherd, with a background in capital markets and corporate development, will focus on fostering transparent investor connections.

‘We are pleased to have [Jason] join our growing and dynamic team at Brixton Metals,’ says company chairman and CEO Gary Thomson. ‘His depth of experience as an investor relations professional and wide-reaching network fits well with our strategy of expanding our reach to the investment community.’

In Europe, Nasdaq-listed sports company Sportradar has appointed Jim Bombassei as senior vice president of IR and corporate finance. Reporting directly to CFO Gerard Griffin, Bombassei brings substantial financial and investor relations experience from leadership roles at technology, gaming and media companies. At Sportradar, his duties include fostering global investor connections, outlining the company’s long-term strategy and supervising corporate finance.
