Kambi Group, the sports betting company, has named Mattias Frithiof as its new senior vice president of IR and sustainability.
Frithiof joins from Storytel, the audiobooks company, where he served as head of IR. In total, he has more than 15 years of experience in IR and finance, with previous roles coming at Moody’s and Swedbank.
‘We are delighted to welcome Mattias to Kambi,’ says David Kenyon, Kambi’s CFO, in a statement. ‘His extensive experience in IR, coupled with his strong financial background, will be invaluable as we seek to create greater shareholder value.’
In other people moves Inditex, the Spanish multinational clothing company and owner of the Zara brand, has appointed Gorka García-Tapia Yturriaga as IR officer. He has been with Inditex since 2011, most recently as global head of financial risks based in Amsterdam. Prior to that, he worked for Inditex’s finance department in Hong Kong.
García-Tapia succeeds Marcos López García, who has been the company’s capital markets director since 1999. ‘Inditex’s board of directors has expressed its appreciation to Mr López for his dedication and excellent performance over such a long period,’ says the retailer in a filing.
Elsewhere, NYSE-listed GE Aerospace, which was formed last year via GE’s breakup, has made Blaire Shoor its new head of IR.
Shoor first joined the company through its financial management program and later became part of the financial planning and analysis team, before moving over to IR in 2021 and supporting GE through its division into three separate entities.
Rahul Ghai, CFO at GE Aerospace, says in a statement: ‘Maintaining a trusted relationship with our analysts and shareholders is a top priority. Blaire’s deep expertise and transparent style makes her the right leader for this important role.’
US regional power company Xcel Energy has promoted Roopesh Aggarwal to vice president of IR. He joined the company in 2019 as senior director of business innovation and three years later became senior director of IR.
Before joining Xcel, he held roles in finance, strategy and corporate development at companies including Summit Utilities, DTE Energy and Ford Motor Co.
Aggarwal takes over leadership of the IR function from Paul Johnson, the current vice president of treasury and IR, who is retiring after a career for 40 years with the business.
‘Paul is recognized across our industry for his longstanding connections with our investors, analysts, credit rating agencies and other external and internal stakeholders,’ says Brian Van Abel, CFO of Xcel, in a statement. ‘At the same time, we have been mindful to build a pipeline of talent and succession plans to ensure continuity when changes do occur.’
Eastern Bank, the US financial services firm based in Boston, has brought in Andrew Hersom as senior vice president of IR. He joins from Argo Group International Holdings where he served as head of IR.
Previously, Hersom held IR roles at People’s United Financial and The Travelers Companies and worked as a financial analyst at Citigroup Life Insurance & Annuities.
He takes over IR leadership from Jillian Belliveau, senior vice president and treasurer, who will ‘dedicate most of her focus on treasury while continuing to play a leadership role in strategic initiatives,’ says Eastern Bank in a statement.
Finally, Mercury Systems, a NASDAQ-listed tech company serving the aerospace and defense industries, has appointed Tyler Hojo as vice president of IR.
Most recently, he was a senior research analyst and limited partner at ACK Asset Management, leading aerospace and defense investments, according to a press release.
