New US IR advisory firm launched

Company will focus on IR and ESG services

Curley Global IR (CGIR), a strategic advisory firm, has been launched in Savannah, Georgia.

The firm combines more than 30 years of experience in IR and nearly two decades of advising on ESG matters. In addition to providing strategic IR services, it will help companies address the rise in investor outreach and ESG-focused information requests.

By the beginning of 2016, more than $87 tn, or approximately one in every five dollars under professional management in the US, was invested according to socially responsible investing principles. In fact, more dollars flowed into ESG-focused funds in the first half of 2017 than did in all of 2014 and 2015 combined.

Investors are requesting that companies demonstrate ‘good corporate citizenship’, which includes model behavior as an ESG leader.

‘Now more than ever, investors seek to minimize risk and preserve their investment, and the growing trend toward ESG-focused funds is a direct result,’ says Sally Curley, CEO of CGIR.

‘Increasingly, suppliers and customers are asking companies to certify sustainability practices while investors are focused on reducing exposure to companies with poor ESG and governance practices. For all three audiences, risk reduction is key.’
